How are you feeling about the character Holden? I feel sorry for him. Not like 'Oh what a poor kid." but I feel for him because I've been there. I've lost people that have been close to me and I miss them a lot around the holidays. I don't know if Salinger knew I would feel like that, but I bet he realized how powerful writing could be. He had the power to connect a bunch of people regardless of age, race, ethnicity - we all connect because of our feelings. I think that is pretty cool. How about you?
